Kochi: Kerala 6,849 fresh coronavirus infections and 388 deaths were recorded on Wednesday, raising the caseload to 50,77,984 and the death toll to 36,475.
With 6,046 more people recovering from the virus since Tuesday, the total number rose to 49,77,126 and active cases to 63,752, an official press release said.
It said that out of 388 deaths, 61 were designated as Covid-19 deaths in the last few days and 327 after receiving an appeal based on fresh guidelines of the Center and directions of the Supreme Court.
