Kolkata: Covid-19 Toll In West Bengal The death toll from the disease rose to 18,252 with 12 more people on Tuesday, a bulletin issued state health department Said.
It said that after the detection of 639 new cases, this number increased to 15,34,999.
North 24 Parganas Four deaths were reported, while the city recorded one death.
Sixty-eight fresh cases were reported in Kolkata, the bulletin said.
At least 724 more people have recovered from the disease, taking the total number of recoveries to 15,06,532. The discharge rate is 98.15 percent.
West Bengal currently has 10,215 active cases.
The bulletin said 40,469 samples have been tested in the state since Monday, taking the total number of such diagnostic tests conducted so far to 1,61,62,814.
