In January, CM Biswa had said that the state government wanted to reduce the number of madrassas in the state.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reached Karimnagar in Telangana on Sunday. Addressing a gathering here, he said that we are working to stop love jihad in the state.

Targeting AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi, he said that we are working towards closing the madrassas in the state. After becoming the CM, I have closed 600 madrassas and this year I will close 300 more. We don’t want madrassas, we want schools, colleges and universities.

CM Biswa- People of Bangladesh pose a threat to our civilization
Addressing a rally for Shiv Charite in Belagavi, CM Biswa had said, “People from Bangladesh come to Assam and pose a threat to our civilization and culture.”

In January, CM Biswa had said that the state government wanted to reduce the number of madrassas in the state. We want to provide general education in madrassas and start registration system in madrassas. We are also working with the minority community on this and they are also helping the state government.
