Six women were burnt alive after a fire broke out at an illegal firecracker factory in Himachal Pradesh’s Una on Tuesday morning. Around 20 laborers have come under fire in the accident that took place around 10:30 am at Bathri in Tahliwal Industrial Area. The injured are being treated at the Regional Hospital Una. For the past about 7-8 months, the work of making illegal firecrackers was going on here. During this, the safety standards were not being taken care of at all. More than 25 workers were working in the factory when the accident happened on Tuesday morning. After the sudden explosion, some people managed to get out after the fire broke out, but 20 people were caught in the fire. Due to the sudden fire, six women did not even get a chance to recover and all of them were burnt alive. Some people got burnt there. Of these, the seriously injured have been referred to PGI Chandigarh. While the rest are being treated at the General Hospital.

According to DC Una, the police has started investigation. If the government orders, then this sensitive matter will be investigated by a magistrate. He told that with whose permission the firecracker factory was running, information has also been sought from the Industries Department.
