50% of professionals want to change jobs, work from home, salary key motivator: Survey

A survey titled ‘Apna Bharat Back to Work’ states that more than 50 percent of professionals are expecting to change their jobs in the next three months. The survey reveals that across all domains, four out of five professionals would like to remain in the same job profile. Most of the respondents are sure of their preferred place/city to work.

More than 5000 professionals from Tier I and Tier II cities participated in the survey conducted by apna.co.

In terms of key triggers for looking for a new job, about 74 percent of users said they want a higher salary, while 37 percent of users are looking for career advancement, the survey claimed. .

The survey also reveals that while professionals in Tier I cities are more aspirant for job search, Tier II users are largely driven by higher salaries. Respondents looking for career progression as the main motivation are still open to finding a different job as money remains the primary motivator. Respondents also said that they see that job as a stop-gap solution while they are still looking for the right type of job based on their aspirations.
