The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) team on Wednesday recovered a huge consignment of drugs from Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh area. The team had recovered 50 kg heroin, Rs 30 lakh in cash and 47 kg other intoxicants. The value of the seized heroin is said to be around Rs 400 crore. This information was given in NCB on Thursday.

One accused in the case was arrested by the police on Thursday, while 3 other accused have been arrested on Friday. Two Afghan nationals are also involved in today’s arrest. The Delhi Police is looking into this matter by linking it with the Indo-Afghan Syndicate. The NCB suspects that the consignment of heroin was brought to India from Afghanistan through the border, while the cash reached India through hawala.

Deputy Director General (DDG) Dnyaneshwar Singh said that under a secret operation, a house located in Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh and Jamia area was raided. 50 kg heroin and 47 kg narcotics were recovered from there. Along with this, Rs 30 lakh cash and note counting machine were also recovered. Police said that the consignment of the seized drugs was carrying the packing of Flipkart.

Dnyaneshwar Singh told that even before this, this syndicate has brought India by hiding drugs in different items in India. According to DDG, people associated with this syndicate are expert in such works, which they sometimes take advantage of to dodge the NCB and other investigative agencies.

NCB Deputy Director General Sanjay Kumar Singh said that all the items recovered were wrapped in jute sacks and packets of e-commerce companies. According to Singh, this is the biggest seizure in any densely populated area of ​​Delhi.

All the recovered items have been sent to the lab for examination. The NCB official said that along with Indians, people from Afghanistan, Pakistan are involved in this syndicate. These people supply in states like Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand. These people smuggle through goods by land and sea.
