5-Year-Old Pumpkin Farmer Will Donate His Earning Money To A Local Church – World Latest News Headlines

Minnesota (WABC) – A very young farmer in Minnesota is learning that people reap what they sow.

Like his father, 5-year-old Emmitt Cox grows pumpkins.

The family grew so much in gourds last year that they didn’t know what to do with all of them.

It was Cox who suggested that they set up a roadside stand.

He earned $400 which was donated to Toys for Toys.

Dr. Anthony Fauci told CNN’s “State of the Union” that it’s an important time of year for kids, so “go out there” and “enjoy it.”

Unfortunately, Cox is sad to report that this year’s harvest was not as good.

“Some seeds didn’t grow – not much rain,” he said.

“He mentioned his pumpkin money and I said if you want to donate some of it that’s absolutely fine,” said Anna Cox, Emmitt’s mom. “And he immediately said, ‘No, I’m going to donate it all.’ If a 5-year-old can put others before himself, maybe we all can.”

Emmit Cox wants to donate the $100 earned from this year’s harvest to a local church.
