5-day Industrial Dasara From This Year | Mysuru News – Times of India

Mysuru: The state government has decided to organise five-day industrial Dasara from this year to boost industrial activities in and around Mysuru region.
The Kaigarika Dasara, also known as industrial Dasara, claims to be first of its kind in the history of century-old celebrations.
Organisers have also initiated measures to provide impetus to startups, exhibition of industrial products, industrial tour, vendor development programme among others. The committee has decided to hold the event from September 26 to 30 to showcase its achievements and products at Dasara Exhibition Grounds.
The committee has also decided to hold industrial tours for two days for visitors as nearly 2,500 industries operate in and around Mysuru city that produce renowned products like tissue paper, banknote paper, spare parts for vehicles, electronics and ready-made goods besides the Mysore Silk Factory, Mysore Sandal Factory and Mysore Paints and Varnish Limited.
Speaking to TOI, joint director of industries and commerce T Dinesh said that his department has been making all preparations to hold Kaigrika Dasara on the lines of Raitha Dasara, Mahila Dasara after consulting local Mysuru Industries Association, industrailists and other stakeholders.
“It provides an opportunity for investors, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists to exchange ideas in a series of educative programmes organised on the occasion,” thye officer said.
Apart from this, a Kaigirika Bazaar will be organised on the occasion for 90 days at Dasara Exhibition Grounds where the producers can sell their products.
Organising this kind of event is really helpful for all micro, small, medium enterprises and big industrialists to give boost not only to them, but as well as to educate the visitors, tourists during Dasara celebrations.
“We request the district minister to give much focus, form subcommittee, allocate grants to make this Kaigirika Dasara a grand success which is being organised for the first time,” Mysore District Micro Small, Medium Enterprises general secretary Sureshkumar Jain told TOI.
