I had twin boys. Suddenly their health deteriorated on Thursday. Due to this, he was immediately admitted to Kaliaganj State General Hospital. Doctors said that his condition is serious, so they are referring him to Raiganj Medical College Hospital. Then the children were referred to Raiganj from there. Here also his condition did not improve. My wife returned home with a child. Our second child was undergoing treatment as his condition worsened.
My child’s health started deteriorating further on Saturday night and he died. When I went to the ambulance person to take the child home, he asked me for Rs 8,000. I didn’t have that much money. I had already paid Rs 16,000 for the treatment of the child. I was not in a position to pay him that much money for an ambulance. I also asked him to reduce the money but he did not agree. Finally, out of desperation, I decided to carry the child in the bag. I put the baby in the bag and got on the bus from the hospital to go home. On reaching Vivekananda Square in Kaliaganj, I sought help from some people. He arranged an ambulance for me. After this I took the child’s body to my village, 65 km away from Vivekananda Crossroads.
