Jammu Police said – Allegations of lathi charge on passengers fabricated
On the other hand, the Jammu and Kashmir Police denied the allegations of lathicharge on Amarnath pilgrims on Sunday evening. The Ganderbal police issued a press release saying that a video is circulating on social media alleging that the police lathi-charged the passengers. However, this news is completely fabricated and baseless.

In fact, no passenger or tourist vehicle is being allowed to proceed after the cut-off time on the Yatra route. When the cutoff was being imposed on Sunday, some people blocked the National Highway. And started trying to go forward forcibly.

Meanwhile, the jawans of the Jammu and Kashmir Police stopped, so these people also stopped an ambulance carrying the patient. But the police personnel removed the protestors to make way for the ambulance.

Police say that some people are trying to damage the image of the police by spreading false news.

Landslide occurred early morning near Chandrakote on Jammu-Srinagar NH. NHAI is busy in clearing the way. The convoy of Amarnath pilgrims passes through this route.
