THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala on Thursday reported 4,649 fresh Covid-19 cases and 221 deaths, taking the caseload to 52,58,939 and fatalities to 49,116.
Of the deaths, 17 were registered in the last few days and 204 were designated as Covid-19 deaths after receiving an appeal based on the Centre’s new guidelines and the Supreme Court’s directions.
With 2,180 more people recovering from the virus since Wednesday, the total recoveries reached 51,93,093 and active cases to 25,157, the release said.
68,325 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
