42 new coronavirus cases in Gujarat; No fresh death reported. Ahmedabad News – Times of India

Ahmedabad : COVID-19 The health department said Gujarat saw an increase of 42 on Sunday, taking its total infection count to 8,24,242.
It added that no fresh deaths were reported during the day and the death toll currently stands at 10,073.
The department said in a release that 262 patients were discharged from hospitals on Sunday, taking the number of cured cases to 8,13,238.
It said Gujarat’s recovery rate rose to 98.66 per cent and the number of active cases fell below the 1,000 mark to 931.
13 new cases were reported in Surat district, seven in Ahmedabad, four each in Rajkot and Vadodara, and Bhavnagar and jamnagar Two each, among others.
2,32,949 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 in Gujarat on Sunday, taking the total number of doses administered so far across the state to 2,78,60,422.
Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar HaveliTwo new cases were reported in Daman and Diu. With this, the UT’s Covid-19 tally rose to 10,558.
A total of 10,529 patients have been discharged so far in the UT, where the number of active cases now stands at 25.
Four coronavirus fatalities have been reported in the Union Territory so far, officials said.
