Southampton: England stunned the hosts in a 3-0 series win in Southampton on Saturday with a stunning 89-run victory in the final Twenty20 against Sri Lanka.
Chasing 181 for victory after England’s openers put together a century, Sri Lanka collapsed and lost wickets at regular intervals as pacer David Willey finished with 3-27, while five others scored. Took at least one wicket.
Earlier, England ended their innings at 180-6 with the opening batsmen David Malana (76) and Jonny Bairstow (51) made a stand of 105 runs. Came in the team instead of Malan joss butler who had passed out with a torn calf muscle.
