3k students allotted seats in MBA, MCA courses – Times of India

The Admission Committee for Professional Courses on Monday announced that at the end of the first round of admissions in Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Masters of Computer Application (MCA) courses, a total of 3,273 students have been allotted seats while there are 13,952 seats in both the courses have remained unoccupied. In 18 government and grant-in-aid MBA and MCA colleges and 157 self financed colleges in the state.
A statement from ACPC said that 2,387 of the 12,115 seats in MBA have been filled while 9,728 seats remain vacant. In MCA, the admission committee has given admissions to 886 students and 4,224 seats are yet to be filled.
The statement said that the second round of admissions will begin from September 6 and the last date for registrations will be September 10. Sources said that as a large number of seats are still lying vacant the admission committee is likely to hold an offline round also.
