3,972 new Covid-19 cases, 340 deaths in Kerala Thiruvananthapuram News – Times of India

Kochi: Kerala On Friday, 3,972 new Covid cases and 340 deaths were recorded, taking the caseload to 51,75,204 and the toll to 42,579.

It said that with 4,836 more people recovering from the virus since Thursday, the total recoveries reached 51,04,456 and active cases came down to 39,341.

Of the new cases, 26 were healthcare workers, 10 of whom were from out-of-state and 3,736 were infected, the source of which was unclear in 200.
At present, 1,61,893 people are under observation in various districts, of which 1,57,300 are in home or institutional quarantine and 4,593 are in hospitals, the release said.
