35-year-old injured after being shot at by two persons in case of suspected drug dealings in Mumbai | Mumbai News – Times of India

MUMBAI: In a suspected case of supremacy in drug dealingstwo persons allegedly shot at a 35-year-old man, who had gone to answer nature’s call near T Junction in Dharavi area on Saturday morning.
The victim sustained a bullet injury in his face, another in the chest and a third bullet in back. He was hastened to the civic-run Sion Hospital where he is undergoing treatment, said Dharavi police.
The incident took place at around 10 am on Saturday. “The injured person, Aamir Anis Khan, had gone to answer nature’s call in the morning. This is when the accused came and shot at him. He was hastened to hospital. We are searching for the accused,” said senior inspector Balwant Patil. A case of attempt to murder has been registered.
Khan, an auto driver by profession, has a previous criminal case of assault registered against him in 2016. The cops have deployed all its teams to search for the two suspects -Parvez Butta (28) and Saleem Langda (27). “There is a previous case of house break-in registered against Butta in 2012. We are scanning the CCTV footage of all the areas to get information about the whereabouts of the two suspects,” said an officer. body, said police, adding that a country-made weapon might have been used in the attack.
A police source said, “Khan and the two accused were into drug dealings. It seems an attempt for supremacy into drug dealing in the area led to this incident. We have got names of the suspects and are trying to find them. Soon after the incident, the first person who met the victim informed the police about the suspects”.
Multiple teams of the city crime branch have also begun a parallel probe into the incident. Crime branch DCP Neelotpal and other officers visited the spot and were busy in collecting the details about the suspected shooter(s).
