35 in English, 36 in Mathematics: IAS officer’s class 10 marksheet goes viral
Several educational boards have declared their class 10 results in the last few days. The stress level is high as students and parents wait for the result. In an effort to de-stress students, an IAS officer shared the class 10th board results of a fellow IAS officer on social media.
According to the marksheet, Tushar Sumera, District Magistrate of Bharuch, Gujarat, managed to score 35 out of 100 in English, 36 in Mathematics and 38 in Science.
Sharing Sumera’s scorecard on social media, IAS officer Avneesh Sharan wrote, ‘Bharuch Collector Tushar Sumera, while sharing his 10th marksheet, has written that he got passing marks in class 10th itself. Out of 100, 35 marks were scored in English, 36 in Mathematics and 38 in Science. Not only in the entire village, in that school it was said that they cannot do anything.”
People believed that Sumera could achieve nothing in life. Even his teachers said that he doesn’t have to do anything meaningful in life. But after many years, he proved everyone wrong by passing the UPSC exam.

After the tweet surfaced on social media, Sumaira thanked her friend Sharan.
Tushar Sumera had graduated in Arts stream and even worked as a school teacher before clearing the much-awaited UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) in 2012. He is a 2012 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre. He was appointed Bharuch collector last year.
