32% of Covid cases in September came from Buldhana alone. Nagpur News – Times of India

Nagpur: Buldhana district once again recorded an increase of 17 Covid cases on Saturday. This is the fourth time a district has been reporting double digits in the last 8 days.
Although this number is still not very serious, it is much higher than the other 10 districts of Vidarbha region. As far as September is concerned, out of 169 new cases reported in the first four days of this month, 55 have come from Buldhana alone. Cases are being registered from all parts of the district. Buldhana city in particular is reporting more cases.
The situation of Kovid in other districts of the region is still under control. On Saturday, Nagpur district conducted over 5,000 tests and only 7 of them were positive. Barring Buldhana, all other districts reported new cases in single digits. A total of 44 new cases were reported. At the same time, 18 patients were cured in one day. Vidarbha’s recovery rate is still above 98% but is down a few decibel points in the last 4 days.
On Saturday, 12,553 tests were conducted in Vidarbha. The number of patients under treatment increased to 329. Here also Buldhana is the only district where more patients are being treated. Single digit patients are being treated in Bhandara, Gondia and Wardha.
Wardha: Out of 340 tests, only one turned out to be positive. During this, 2 were discharged, in which 2 are active positive, one new and one old. The caseload rose to 49,392 and recoveries to 48,062. There were no new deaths, while the toll remained the same (1,325).
Yavatmal: There is no change in the death toll and it is 1,787 as there was no death on Saturday. There are 17 active positive patients who are undergoing treatment in hospitals. The administration received 1,713 reports out of which 2 persons were found positive. Out of 72,863 positive patients, 71,059 have been cured including 3 on Saturday. The test positivity rate is 10.04% and the mortality rate is 2.45%. The daily positivity rate is 0.12%. There are 2,174 beds available for COVID patients in the district, out of which 2,150 are lying vacant in GMC, DCHC and private hospitals.
Amravati: After two new cases and the same number of recoveries, the district’s caseload on Saturday rose to 96,085 and the number of recoveries to 94,443. With no Covid deaths, the number of active patients stood at 47.
Chandrapur: Zero detection and zero casualties occurred on Saturday. 47 active patients were undergoing treatment due to recovery alone. The caseload remained steady at 88,659, while the total recoveries touched 87,072.
Akola: A new positive case has come to the fore in 363 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. This took the total case load to 57,826. Neither recovery nor death was reported. 18 patients are still being treated in the district.
Buldhana: The district once again recorded a slight increase of 17 out of 1,370 cases on Saturday. This took the case load to 87,473. Now 90 patients are being treated in Buldhana. In the last 4 days, 55 cases have been reported in the district.
Washim: 5 new cases were reported in the district on Saturday and 1 got cured. This took the total case load to 41,723 and recoveries to 41,067. The death toll is 638. A total of 17 patients are undergoing treatment.
Bhandara: No new cases were reported out of 383 reports received on Saturday. Neither recovery nor death was reported. This kept the case count unchanged at 60,084, recoveries at 58,947 and the toll at 1,133. Now 4 patients are being treated in Bhandara.
Gondia: After 466 reports came on Saturday, three new cases were reported. No patient got cured. Due to this, the number of patients under treatment reached 8, out of which six were in home isolation and 2 in COVID care centres.
Gadchiroli: Six out of 760 reports were found positive. Four patients were cured in one day. At present 36 patients are undergoing treatment in Gadchiroli.
