Hyderabad: Telangana 306 newly recorded COVID-19 Cases and 3 deaths were reported on Saturday, while the number of active cases in the state stood at 5,673.
The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic last year is 6,59,313 and the death toll is 3,883. The number of active containment zones in the state was 16. Jagtial, Karimnagar and Nalgonda The state has most of the active containment zones.
A total of 366 patients were declared healthy on Saturday, taking the total number of recovered patients to 6,49,757. The case fatality rate (CFR) is 0.58 per cent while the recovery rate is now 98.55 per cent. Of the total cases in the state so far, 79.8 per cent have been asymptomatic while 20.2 per cent have been symptomatic.
On Saturday, 69,422 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus. Telangana has now completed testing of 2.49 crore samples and has reached to 6.69 lakh sample tests per million population.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported 78 cases on Saturday, while neighboring Medchal Malkajgiri reported 16 cases, Ranga Reddy 12 and Sanga Reddy 3. Outside Hyderabad city and its outskirts, Karimnagar reported the maximum number of cases with 31 new cases.
