Ashish Mishra ‘Monu’, the main accused of Lakhimpur violence and son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, will now be on 3-day police remand. On Monday, the CJM court has approved the police remand after 30 minutes of debate during the hearing. Now the SIT will be able to interrogate Ashish more. However, Chief Judicial Magistrate Chintaram has also imposed three conditions.

Earlier, during the hearing in the CJM court, it was said from the police that Ashish was questioned for only 12 hours, in which he did not answer. He needs 14 days police custody. Ashish’s lawyer Awadhesh Singh said that the police want to forcefully take statement from Ashish. Remand is being sought for third degree.
