25 vehicles burnt in Gujarat police station

Police said that more than 25 vehicles were affected in the incident.

Kheda (Gujarat):

Over 25 vehicles, including bikes, autorickshaws and cars, were gutted in a fire in Gujarat’s Kheda district. No casualties have been reported so far.

Teams of Nadiad Fire Brigade and fire brigade from Ahmedabad, Mehmedwar, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) were also involved in the efforts to douse the blaze.

The fire was brought under control by the teams after one-and-a-half hours of effort.

Fire brigade superintendent of Nadiad fire department Dixit Patel said that the vehicle and goods recovered in the Kheda Town police station premises caught fire.

Some vehicles loaded with chemicals caught fire, Mr Patel said.

He said the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
