Thiruvananthapuram: Daily COVID-19 case in Kerala There was a further decline on Monday with the state recording 22,524 fresh infections, taking the caseload to 62,93,907.
The southern state had recorded 26,729 Covid-19 cases on Sunday.
According to a government release, Kerala also reported 860 deaths on Monday, taking the total death toll to 59,115.

Since Sunday, 49,586 more people have been cured of this virus, taking the total number of cured people to 59,32,609.
As the number of recoveries exceeded the number of new Covid-19 cases, the active cases in the state came down to 3,01,424, the release said.
The number of active cases on Sunday stood at 3,29,348.
In the last 24 hours, 78,682 samples were tested.

The remaining districts reported less than 2,000 cases.
Of the new cases, 170 were health workers, 114 from outside the state and 21,033 were infected through contact with its source in 1,207, the release said.
At present 4,74,949 people are under observation in various districts, out of which 4,65,565 are in home or institutional quarantine and 10,793 are in hospitals, the release said.
