Lucknow: Death toll from Kovid-19 answer According to an official statement issued in Lucknow, 45 more people died in the state on Sunday with 22,518 deaths, while 222 new cases took the infection to 17,05,596.
Out of the fresh deaths, Lucknow and Allahabad reported six deaths each, followed by five deaths in Kanpur, the statement said.
Of the new cases, 23 were reported from Lucknow, 17 from Kanpur, 15 from Varanasi and 14 cases. Gonda, it said.
The statement said that in the last 24 hours, 169 people have recovered from the disease, taking the total number of recoveries so far to 16,79,913.
The count of active Covid-19 cases stands at 3,165, it said.
The statement said that over 2.77 lakh samples were tested in the last 24 hours, while more than 5.70 crore tests have been conducted in the state so far.
