2024’s Most expensive Film To Cost More Than Animal, Dunki, Salaar Combined

In 2024, a lineup of diverse films awaits, ranging from small to massive productions. One standout is the most expensive Indian film ever made, sparking anticipation among industry experts for potential record-breaking success at the box office.

Nag Ashwin’s upcoming film, Kalki 2898 AD, previously known as Project K, is poised to be the most expensive Indian film of 2024. According to trade pundit Manobala Vijayabalan, the film boasts a budget of Rs 600 crore, surpassing the combined budgets of recent hits like Salaar (Rs 270 crore), Animal (Rs 100 crore), and Dunki (Rs 140 crore). Notably, the scale of Kalki 2898 AD even outstrips that of Brahmastra (Rs 400 crore) and Baahubali (Rs 250 crore), marking it as a colossal cinematic endeavor.

Kalki 2898 AD is rumored to be the most expensive Indian film ever made, surpassing Adipurush and RRR, both with reported budgets of Rs 550 crore each. While some sources indicate Adipurush’s budget at Rs 700 crore, potentially placing Kalki 2898 AD in the second spot, it’s essential to note that Adipurush’s final budget encompasses marketing costs. As Kalki 2898 AD gears up for release later this year, it remains to be seen whether it will outshine Adipurush in terms of overall expenditure.
