Just a few days back, ZEE5 released its next Original film 200 – Halla Ho! Teaser released. Which gave the audience a glimpse about the film. The trailer of the film will surely make you question a lot of things about our society and the way women are treated. Thrilling yet gripping trailer of Sarthak Dasgupta’s 200 – Halla Ho! There is a story of how 200 Dalit women unitedly took law and justice into their own hands by thrashing a gangster, robber and serial rapist in an open court.
The trailer showcases the nuances of each character played by a talented and eclectic cast. Inspired by true events, the film unravels the shocking incidents and circumstances that led 200 women to take such a drastic step to get justice.
Talking about the trailer, Sarthak Dasgupta, writer and director shared, “It is not a film for me, but a shoulder that I give to the movement towards social equality. I have to tell the audience that women should be treated equally and the lives of Dalits matter too! The film is about Dalit women who, despite being socially marginalised, molested, harassed and humiliated, had to take the law into their own hands to punish the person responsible for ruining their lives. It addresses the debate as to whether they were right or they were wrong. I hope this film will give voice to the social change which is much needed in the society.”
The film marks the return of famous actor Amol Palekar to films after almost a decade.
200 – Halla Ho, includes Amol Palekar, Barun Sobti, Rinku Rajguru, Sahil Khattar, Saloni Batra, Indranil Sengupta and Upendra Limaye.
Produced by Yoodlee Films, the film production arm of Saregama, written and directed by Sarthak Dasgupta, 200 – Halla Ho will premiere on August 20 on ZEE5.
