2 Moosewala Murder Accused Killed in Goindwal Sahib Jail Gang War

Amritsar, Feb 26 (PTI) Two gangsters arrested in singer Sidhu Musewala murder case and lodged in Goindwal Sahib Central Jail in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district were killed in a clash between inmates on Sunday. Police gave this information. Senior Superintendent of Police Gurmeet Singh Chauhan said he was also facing other charges. An inmate was injured in the scuffle, he said, adding that all three belonged to the same group. Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Musewala, was shot dead on May 29 in Mansa district.

Chauhan told that the deceased have been identified as Mandeep Singh alias Toofan, a resident of Batala and Manmohan Singh alias Mohana, a resident of Budhlada. Another inmate, Keshav, was seriously injured in the clash and was admitted to a hospital here, police said. Sources said that there was a brawl between the inmates over some issue and the situation soon took an ugly turn. Utensils and iron rods were used during the fight inside the high-security prison, he said.

Police said Keshav was also arrested in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case.
