Shopian:
Two terrorists belonging to banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba were killed in the Shopian encounter on Wednesday, the Kashmir Zone Police said.
Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, “Shopian encounter update: 02 terrorists belonging to banned terrorist organization Lashkar killed. Identity is being ascertained. Further details will be followed.”
The Kashmir Zone Police said that the encounter started in Kanjiular area of Shopian on Wednesday.
The operation was jointly carried out by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces.

Earlier on Tuesday, two terrorists were killed in an encounter in Bemina area of Srinagar.
The terrorists had links with the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). A policeman also suffered minor injuries in the encounter.
