Srinagar: A jawan was martyred and two Lashkar terrorists were killed, while two army personnel were injured in an encounter in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.
The encounter took place in Cheerbagh area of ​​Shopian district.
One of the slain militants has been identified as Adil Wani, who according to police was the district commander of The Resistance Front (TRF) affiliated to Lashkar-e-Taiba.
IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said he was involved in the targeted killing of a carpenter from UP in Litter, Pulwama last weekend.
The IGP said that 15 terrorists have been killed in the last two weeks.
