The official said that the deceased have been identified as Aftab Uddin Laskar and Vishwajit Lohar.
“The injured were first taken to the local hospital at Katlichera, from where they were shifted to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH),” he said.
A police team from the nearby Ratabari police station with the help of local people launched the rescue operation, the official said.
