New Delhi: Two teenagers have been arrested for allegedly having unnatural sex with an 11-year-old boy at a shelter home in North Delhi.
He said the NGO running the shelter home approached the police with a complaint after the boy reported the matter to the caretaker of the facility.
Police said the victim had left her home in Uttar Pradesh last month. They were shifted to the shelter home on June 26 after being released from the railway station here.
On June 28, a 17-year-old boy came to the victim’s room and allegedly raped her. The victim also alleged in her complaint that she was threatened not to say anything about it or that she would be killed.
According to the police, the next day, the victim was again abducted inside the bathroom by another boy and threatened again.
Police said the victim, however, later informed the caretaker of the shelter home.
A senior police officer said, “Based on the complaint, the victim’s medical examination was conducted at a hospital here. We have registered a case under it.” section 377 (unnatural offences) Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO) and arrested two juveniles.”
Police said that both the juveniles, aged 17, also live in the same shelter home.
