18 school children test Covid positive in 10 days in major cities of Gujarat. Ahmedabad News – Times of India

Ahmedabad/Surat/Vadodara/Rajkot: A class 2 girl from Udgam School for Children tested positive for COVID-19 on her return from her native after attending an event. The school authorities confirmed the matter and said that the students who attended the class with the child have been asked to report their health condition. Class 2 girl is one of the least 18 cases across the country Gujarat who have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 10 days. Children were going to school both online and offline.
The number includes nine from Surat, four from Ahmedabad, three from Rajkot and two from Vadodara. Two teachers – one each from Rajkot and Vadodara – have also tested positive. Ahmedabad Rural DEO RR Vyas confirmed that Udgam School for Children has registered a positive case following which the school has been directed to take precautionary action. The school’s managing trustee Manan Choksi told that the last time the girl took an offline class was nine days ago.
