GUWAHATI: GUWAHATI SMART CITY LTD (GSCL) will soon take up 17 projects including Brahmaputra riverfront development and integrated traffic management system in the city at a cost of over Rs 887 crore.
Managing Director of GSCL Ghanshyam Dass He said that tenders have been floated for some projects while tenders would be floated for the rest soon. He said that Rs 308 crore would be spent on river front development project, Rs 236 crore would be spent on purchase of 200 non AC electric buses, Rs 127 crore on Integrated Traffic Management System and Rs 30 would be spent on siltation super sucker machines. The government has already identified the new locations and preparatory work is underway.
