15-minute debate in Shri Krishna Virajman case: Next hearing on July 1; Challenges given to the 1968 agreement

The hearing on the petition filed by Shri Krishna Virajman in Mathura’s court was held at 11.30 am on Thursday, which lasted only 15 minutes. During this, Shri Krishna Virajman demanded the release of 13.37 acres of land. Shahi Masjid is built on this land in 2.5 acres. In the petition, the land of Idgah has also been demanded to be handed over to Shri Krishna Virajman. Two important documents related to the land were also placed before the court. The court has fixed July 1 as the next date of hearing.

In the matter, Mukesh Khandelwal, the advocate of the trust, told that two documents have been presented. The first is Khatauni, in which the name of Shri Thakur Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust is written. The second paper is presented in relation to the Municipal Corporation. It is written in it, Shahi Idgah Masjid owned by Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust. That is, the ownership of the land of the Shahi Idgah Masjid belongs to the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust. The court has reserved both these papers.

This petition was first filed in the civil court on September 2020. which was rejected. Again this petition was filed in the district court. After hearing for about one and a half years, the court on May 19 considered that the matter was maintainable. After this, its first hearing was held on Thursday.

Notice was given to 4 institutions in the suit
In the suit filed by Shri Krishna Virajman, 4 institutions were made defendants. Among them were Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan, Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust, Shahi Idgah Masjid Committee and Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Board. The court also heard the arguments of all these respondents during the hearing for accepting the application for one and a half years.

The suit was filed in the Mathura court on behalf of advocates Ranjana Agnihotri, Harishankar Jain and others. In this case, the agreement made by a society named Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sangh on 1 May 1958 with the representatives of Shahi Idgah on 12 October 1968 has been said to be wrong. A demand has been made in the suit to abolish this agreement and free the total property of Shri Krishna Janmasthan 13.37 acres.
