Police said on Sunday that 14 people were killed in a shooting at a bar near Johannesburg in South Africa’s Soweto township.
“We were called around 12:30 a.m. (2230 GMT),” Police Lieutenant Elias Mawela said after the overnight shootings on Saturday and Sunday.
“When we reached the spot, 12 people were confirmed dead,” he said.
Mawela said 11 other injured were taken to hospital, but two later died, raising the death toll to 14.
