New Delhi: A Delhi court on Wednesday sent independent journalist Rajiv Sharma name of cast In a 14-day judicial custody in a money laundering case related to passing sensitive information about India’s defense and strategy to Chinese intelligence agencies.
Court sent Sharma to jail Ed No further custodial interrogation was sought. Sharma was arrested by the ED on July 1.
The ED sought more time from the court to file its reply on his bail plea, following which the court adjourned the matter till July 16. The bail plea claimed that there was no prima facie case made out against Sharma and there were only allegations of cash. Deposits do not bring the matter under its preview.
