Inspector Baldev Kumar of Chandigarh has brought laurels to the country along with Chandigarh Police by winning the Bronze Medal in the 12th World Body Building and Physique Sports Championship (WBPF)- 2021. He won this medal in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Inspector Baldev Kumar posted in the Traffic Wing of Chandigarh Police has won two medals at the International level even before this.

He has won Silver Medal in 11th World Body Building and Physique Sports Championship held in South Korea and 53rd Asian Body Building and Physique Sports Championship Silver Medal held in Indonesia. Baldev participated in this competition in the weight category of 80 to 90 kg.

Baldev, a resident of Kurukshetra, had joined the Chandigarh Police in the year 1995. He is 53 years old now. Baldev had joined the Chandigarh Police in 1995. After passing the training, he became ASI in 1997. After that he came to the field. He was promoted to Inspector in 2015 after serving for nearly 18 years.

Taking special care of diet, Chandigarh DGP Praveer Ranjan and SSP Kuldeep Singh Chahal congratulated Baldev Kumar for winning this medal and wished him good luck for future competition. Baldev Kumar told in a conversation with Bhaskar that he always takes care of his food and drink. They eat food only when they are hungry and also keep in mind how much they have to eat at a time. Apart from this, avoid foods like fast food, cold water, including ice cream.

Protein, chicken, green vegetables, milk and curd remain in Baldev Kumar’s diet. He told that his wife Sudha Rani takes special care of his diet. Baldev Kumar explains that for a healthy life it is also necessary for a person to be happy. He always tries to be happy. For this, do not let the workload dominate you. He has a regular lifestyle. He sleeps on time. Also spend time with family. Where the foundation of a healthy and happy life is formed.

Baldev Kumar told that earlier he used to participate in kick boxing. But during this time he started doing gym. After this, leaving kick boxing, started body building. He sweats in the gym for about 2 hours every day. Along with this, he also pays special attention to diet.

Best athlete for 3 years
Inspector Baldev Kumar told that he has been fond of sports since the beginning. Won the title of best athlete in college time for 3 consecutive years. Along with this, he has also represented Chandigarh Police in All India Police Games.

At the age of 45, told the trainer – I want to do body building
Inspector Baldev Kumar told that he was interested in his sport from the very beginning. He was the best player of the college team during his college days. He has also won national level competition in kick boxing. At the age of 45, he told a trainer that he wanted to do body building. On this the trainer said that there is no age for body building, they can still start if they want. After this he started diet and workout and was determined to achieve the goal. He prepared for All India Police Meet Jaipur 2017, in which he got 10th rank. After this he understood what stage performance is, what things are important to keep in mind so that it can be performed well. After this, he also secured second rank in the 53rd Asian Body Building and Physique Sports Championship 2019.
