Answer sought on the demand for priority in vaccination of pregnant women
There has been a demand to keep pregnant and lactating women in the high-risk category and to give priority to corona vaccination. The Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights has filed a petition in the Supreme Court for this.
On this, the bench of Justice Chandrachud has sought a reply from the Center in two weeks. The commission’s counsel Vrinda Grover said that the Center has issued guidelines for vaccination of pregnant and lactating mothers. But now it is being said that vaccination may have some adverse effect on them. So the policy should be clear.
