Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has suffered another major setback. In Thane Municipal Corporation, out of 67 Shiv Sena councilors, 66 have joined the Eknath Shinde camp. According to reports, late on Wednesday night all the rebel councilors met Eknath Shinde at his residence. Thane Municipal Corporation is the second most important municipal corporation in Maharashtra after Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.

It is also being claimed that 12 out of 18 Shiv Sena MPs may soon join the Shinde faction. The Shinde faction claims to be in contact with 12 to 14 MPs. Here, Uddhav Thackeray is also afraid that his MPs may also break before the presidential election.

In view of this, the party changed its Chief Whip in the Lok Sabha. Earlier, Washim MP Bhavna Gawli was the Chief Whip. Now MP Rajan Vichare has been made the chief whip in his place. Bhawna Gawli is considered close to Eknath Shinde.

Congress sent notice to MLAs
Maharashtra Congress has sent notices to 11 MLAs who did not attend the floor test. In the notice, Congress asked why you did not appear in the floor test. The Congress MLAs who did not vote in the floor test include the names of Ashok Chavan, Pranati Shinde, Jitesh Antapurkar, Vijay Wadettiwar, Zeeshan Siddiqui, Dheeraj Deshmukh, Kunal Patil, Raju Awale, Mohan Humberde, Shirish Chaudhary.

Shinde won the floor test by 164 votes to 99
On July 2, in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, the BJP made Rahul Narvekar the speaker with the support of the Eknath Shinde faction. Uddhav resigned on June 29
