He also said that bills related to fuel consumption by various government departments are also pending for a long time.
It can be said here that despite the state government declaring it illegal under the Essential Services Commodities Act, the petrol pumps remained closed.
Public transport system in Ranchi was affected by the strike. Kishor Mantri, a member of the Bus Owners Association, said, “Only 50 per cent passenger buses ply from Ranchi bus stand. Voter turnout was also low due to cold wave conditions in the state.
However, movement of bikes, auto rickshaws and private vehicles remained normal in the state capital.
