The situation in Afghanistan has worsened due to the Taliban’s attempt to capture.

The Taliban have completely occupied Afghanistan. The situation is that he is imposing his orders on the Afghans. The fighters are pressurizing the families to hand over the girls to them. The condition of the people in Afghanistan has become so bad that Afghan students living in India have lost contact with their families. He is worried about what will happen to his family.

Concern can be seen on the faces of 11 Afghan students living in Punjab’s Ludhiana district due to the political turmoil in their home country. These students had enrolled for PhD or MSc in Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) in 2019. The students say that Afghanistan has mineral deposits and Pakistan and China want to grab it through the Taliban.

Noor Ali Noori, 32, from Parwan province, is pursuing a PhD in agricultural science. He says his family has to hide in Afghanistan because Taliban fighters are pressuring him to hand over the three young women in the family. Failure to do so will result in death threats to the family. He is relieved that he is safe here with his two children and wife.

Ahmed Mubasher is pursuing PhD in Extension Education and is a native of Baglan. He is worried that the way the media reports are coming, the women of his family are not safe. The Taliban want to destroy the education system of Afghanistan, so that they cannot be opposed. Pakistan is supporting the Taliban, but it has to think that the Taliban will destroy them too.

Habibullah Habibi, who is studying in Plant Breeding, says that the way Talibanis are promoting Islam, they condemn it. Islam does not teach oppression of women, thrashing and beating them in public, picking up minor girls from homes and imposing clothes. Thankfully I have my four kids and wife with me, but I am worried about the rest of my family. What will happen to them? I am worried about the girls in my family because they are the target of Taliban.

Ahmed says that he had talked to the family only 3 days ago and he was telling that fundamentalism is being spread there. The men there are being asked to keep a beard and tie a turban. Women are being asked to wear burqa. Those who protest are being killed. The army there has shut down the network, so he has lost contact with his family. So he is worried that what will be happening there? Media reports running on TV are their support.
