10 more cases of Omicron were reported in Himachal Pradesh, taking the total number to 25. Shimla News – Times of India

Shimla: Inn Himachal Pradesh 10 more positive cases of omicron has been detected. These samples were taken from patients who tested positive from December 15 to 31 last year, but received their Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) report from the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday.
According to a health department official, reports of 127 samples have been received for Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS). National Center for Disease Control Delhi, Mutations have been found in 10 of these WGS samples.
He said that as per the WGS report received, all the 10 WGS samples have been found positive for Omicron. Contains 2 out of 10 omicron cases Kangra And Bathing districts and these samples were taken from international travelers. The remaining 8 cases were sent from sentinel sites in Kangra district and these samples were taken for patients who tested positive between December 15 and 31.
He said that so far a total of 25 cases of Omicron have been found in the state. Initially the Omicron variant was only reported among international travelers, but now the variant has been reported from the community as well.
