There were a total of 16,053 seats in the 23 IITs in 2020, including 1,583 female supernumerary seats. In the sixth and final round of allotment, 16,061 seats were allotted to candidates this time, including eight additional seats earmarked for foreign candidates. At the end of the final round, 62 OCI candidates and five PIO Seats were also allotted to the candidates.
