So will the issue of separate Gorkhaland arise again? President of Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha, Anit Thapa said, ‘This is not the platform of Gorkhaland movement. It will harm the mountain.’ Binoy Tamang said, ‘This is our struggle to protect the honor of Gorkhas. We want Gorkhas to live with self-respect.

Is CPM supporting the demand for Gorkhaland? In this regard, Saman Pathak of CPM did not directly mention Gorkhaland but talked about the respect of Gorkhas. He said, ‘I was invited for the movement against the occupation of Purbord. so I went. We are not in favor of a separate state. We are against immoral politics. On the other hand, former mayor Ashok Bhattacharya said, ‘Our party has come together against the unethical occupation of the municipality in the hill. Our district secretary went. We have always been with the anti-Trinamool-BJP party. Anyone can say anything on the stage.” Alok Chakraborty, president of the Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress, said, “The BJP has joined hands with the Congress at some places, opposing the Left Trinamool. so it’s nothing new
