West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee is once again going to attend the meeting called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the organization of G20 meeting. He will virtually attend the meeting called by the Prime Minister from his Kalighat residence on Friday. He will attend the meeting called by the Prime Minister for the second time in a week.

Mamta Banerjee along with the Chief Ministers of other states also participated in the Prime Minister’s meeting organized for the preparation of the G20 meeting on December 5. However, he did not have any personal meeting with Modi. After a four-day visit to Delhi, he is about to return to Kolkata to attend a meeting called by Modi.

Many events of the G20 meeting will also be held in West Bengal. The Chief Minister can discuss his preparations with the Prime Minister in the meeting. On the other hand, after Modi’s meeting with Mamta, the central government has assured to pay the dues of the state for 100 days.

The political corridor is looking for the significance of Modi’s meeting with Mamta. Mamta Modi did not meet him for 9 months after becoming the Prime Minister. He has also been absent from frequent meetings called by the Prime Minister in Delhi. Many doubt Mamata’s sudden inclusion in the meeting called by Modi.
