About 8.21 lakh women in Himachal can get Rs 1500 per month. Half of its roadmap has been prepared in the first meeting of the cabinet sub-committee constituted by the cabinet on Friday. It is being claimed that this help to women can be announced in the budget speech of the next financial year.
Dhaniram Shandil, chairman of the cabinet sub-committee, said that according to the estimates made so far, this would put an additional financial burden of Rs 500 to 600 crore on the government. He said that there are total 22,40,492 women in the age group of 18 to 60 years in the state.
In these, Asha workers, Anganwadi workers, government employees, ex-servicemen, military widows, women working in railways etc. minus income tax payers make up 8.21 lakh women. He said that how to give this amount to women, it is not yet final. Soon a meeting will be held with the experts of the Finance Department and once again the cabinet sub-committee will sit.
After this the committee will submit its report to the Chief Minister. Dhaniram Shandil said that the women who are currently getting Rs 1100 or less pension, their pension will also be considered to be Rs 1500.

Congress has given a guarantee of giving 1500 to all women
Congress has announced to give 1500 rupees monthly to all women aged 18 to 60 years. All committees have been formed.
All these committees have been asked to submit their report within a month. Therefore, today the chairperson of the committee, Dhaniram Shandil called the first meeting of the sub-committee.
Not all women will get help
It is obvious that not all women will be able to get Rs 1500. Along with income, some other conditions can also be imposed. It is not yet decided whether it should be given to all the women in the family or to one. It is also possible that the government will give this amount only to the women of BPL families. Similarly, instead of giving lump sum, the government can also consider giving it in a phased manner.
