हिमाचल के नए गवर्नर बने शिव प्रताप शुक्ला: संस्कृत में ली शपथ; बोले- सादा जीवन जीना पसंद, हवाई सफर कम करूंगा

Shiv Pratap Shukla took oath as the 29th Governor of Himachal Raj Bhavan. The Governor took oath in Sanskrit language. Acting Chief Justice of Himachal High Court Justice Sabina administered the oath to Shiv Pratap Shukla.

Many people including Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, other cabinet ministers, Congress in-charge Rajeev Shukla, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur and Justice of Himachal High Court were present in the oath ceremony.

During this, the Governor said that he likes to lead a simple life. Every effort will be made to stay among the public and solve their problems. He said that most of the journey will be done by road. So that after knowing the problems of the people, it can be brought to the notice of the government.

Work will be done on PM’s TB eradication plan
After taking the oath, Governor Shiv Pratap said that he would get to learn a lot in Devbhoomi. He thanked the President for this. He said that the schemes run by the previous governors will be taken forward. Work will be done to stop drug addiction in the state. Work will also be done to eradicate TB of the Prime Minister.

The Governor said, I will work for the people.

Expressed concern over Shimla’s temperature
The Governor expressed concern over rising temperature in the state in the month of February itself. Said that there is no much difference between the weather of Gorakhpur and Shimla. The temperature has increased due to lack of snow. He said that such a situation is giving dangerous signals for the future. To avoid this situation, attention will be paid to tree plantation.

Shiv Pratap Shukla, the new Governor of Himachal, was received by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri along with four cabinet members on his arrival at Shimla Raj Bhavan. Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Pathania, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, Party State President Suresh Kashyap also welcomed Shiv Pratap Shukla. Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena and top officials were also present on the occasion.

Shiv Pratap Shukla was MLA for 4 times
Shiv Pratap Shukla is a Rajya Sabha MP. Basically he is a resident of Uttar Pradesh (UP). He started student politics after joining ABVP. Contested assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh in the year 1989. Shukla was elected Member of Legislative Assembly for 4 times in 1989, 1991, 1993 and 1996. During this he was also a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government.

He contested the elections in 1989 and was elected as a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly for the first time by defeating Sunil Shastri of INC. Now he has been entrusted with the responsibility of the Governor of Himachal.
