In Pillukheda of Jind district of Haryana, a 5-day-old bride eloped at night after giving drugs in tea to her husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law. The bride was accompanied by her brother, her mother and relatives. After sedating the family, they were rummaging through the household items at night with the intention of looting that their sister-in-law came. Seeing this, he fled leaving the car there too. Pillukheda police station has registered a case against 4 people including the bride.

Married on 3 February
Pillukheda resident Danvanti told the police that her younger brother Suresh was married about 28 years ago in village Badsikri in Kaithal district, but due to differences between the two, both were divorced.

On February 3, Suresh married Geeta alias Meena, a resident of Jau Nagar Bahedi village in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh, wearing a garland in village Kichha in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. Suresh had come to Pillukheda taking Geeta with him.

Mother had reached with the car
After that she was living well at his house in Pillukheda. Geeta’s mother Omwati and brother Lucky and relatives Manoj, a resident of village Bhot in Sadar Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh, came to their house in the late night of February 8. Here he was fed as a guest.

Thereafter, brother Suresh, father Ved Singh and mother Khujani slept in a room while she went to meet her uncle Inder Singh. After some time, when she returned home, she found her brother Suresh, mother Khajani and father Ved Singh unconscious. While his sister-in-law Geeta alias Meena Kumari and her family were not in the room.

Neighbors were called, absconded
When she went to the back room, the four people were scattering the things inside the house and an attempt was being made to loot. Seeing this, she called the neighbors and when people tried to catch them, they fled taking advantage of the darkness but could not take the vehicle in which they had come. The car remained there.

Suresh, Ved and Khajani were admitted to the civil hospital in an unconscious condition, but were referred to PGI Rohtak from there. Danvanti alleged that her sister-in-law Geeta alias Meena, along with the family members, had given some intoxicant in the tea with the intention of robbery.

Investigating officer ASI Narendra Singh said that Geeta alias Meena, mother Omvati and brother Lucky, resident of Jau Nagar Bahedi village of Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh, and relative Manoj, resident of Bhot village of Sadar Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh, have a case of giving drugs and looting.
