After Rajasthan, Gujarat, Biparjoy entered Haryana. The weather changed late Sunday night due to the cyclone. After which strong winds blew at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The good thing is that no information about any kind of damage due to the winds has been received so far.
Chandigarh Meteorological Department has kept 6 cities including Ambala on orange alert even today. These include Kaithal, Thanesar, Guhla, Pehowa, Shahabad, Ambala cities. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility that winds will blow at a speed of 60 kilometers here along with thunder and lightning.
Yellow alert for these cities
According to the Meteorological Department, the partial effect of Biparjoy will be visible in other cities as well, so a yellow alert has been issued for them. These include Kaithal, Karnal, Nilokhedi, Thanesar, Pehowa, Shahabad, Ambala, Barara, Narayangarh, Panchkula. Here winds will blow at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour and there is every possibility of rain with thunder and lightning. Weather will remain normal in other districts.
Electricity department on alert
After seeing the effect of cyclone Biparjoy in Rajasthan, the electricity department in Haryana remained on alert mode. Arrangements have already been made to restore electricity that may be disrupted due to strong winds and thunderstorms in South Haryana due to falling of trees or electric poles. Electricity corporation teams have been deployed in case of damage due to strong winds.
