Sarpanch’s younger brother killed his girlfriend’s husband and buried the dead body by digging a pit in his house in Pattikalyana village of Samalkha town in Panipat district of Haryana. Not only this, the accused also made a concrete floor on the pit.
The matter came to light on Sunday when the accused told his elder brother Sarpanch about it. After which the sarpanch himself told the police about this. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot.
Police interrogating the accused
Uprooted the floor in the presence of the duty magistrate. The entire incident was videographed. The dead body was recovered from inside the ground and sent to the civil hospital. Police arrested the accused and started interrogation.
Elder brother raised doubt on Praveen
Rajat, the elder brother of the deceased Ravi (35), had told the police in his complaint that his younger brother Eeko drives the car. On December 11, at around 3 pm, he left the house telling his mother that he was going to buy a new Eco car.
Since then he had gone missing under suspicious circumstances. The police had registered a missing case. The family members had also expressed doubt on Praveen alias Pinna, the younger brother of village sarpanch Mukesh Pahalwan. Because Praveen and Ravi’s wife’s illegal relationship was known to everyone.
5 intoxicating pills mixed in alcohol
Samalkha police station in-charge Sunil told that the accused Praveen has been arrested. Initial interrogation of the accused has revealed that he had called Ravi on December 11 on the pretext of giving him liquor and giving him money.
After this, after mixing about 5 pills of intoxication in alcohol, he was given to drink. As soon as he got intoxicated, he attacked him with heavy weapons and killed him. To dispose of the dead body, a pit was dug inside the room and buried. After this the concrete floor was done.
Disclosure- The deceased had blackmailed the money
The accused has also disclosed that there was a relationship between him and the wife of the deceased for about 5 years. A month ago, the deceased came to know about the relationship between the two. He had also seen both of them together in suspicious condition.
After this he started blackmailing Praveen. He had also taken Rs. Not only this, he used to threaten to tell everyone about these relations. At the same time, the accused Praveen knew that Ravi was addicted to drugs. He needs money to fuel his addiction. He called her on this pretext and killed her.
The conspiracy of murder hatched about 15 days ago
Police said that the conspiracy to kill Ravi was hatched even before December 4. After this, accused Praveen, the father of two daughters, sent his wife to her maternal home in Loni, Ghaziabad.
At the same time, Ravi’s wife also went to her maternal home on the pretext of taking medicine for jaundice. She returned only on December 12 and started searching for Ravi along with her family members. Whereas, the accused started roaming freely as if he had done nothing.
