ISRO has also released the video of Gaganyaan Service Module Propulsion System (SMPS).

After the launch of Chandrayaan 3, ISRO is now engaged in the Gaganyaan project. In this project, three people are to be sent to space for three days. They will be launched in an orbit of 400 km and brought back and landing in the sea. ISRO has successfully flight tested the Gaganyaan Service Module Propulsion System (SMPS) at the ISRO Propulsion Complex in Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.

The service module of Gaganyaan is a bi-propellant based propulsion system. Which meets the needs of the Orbital Module while going into space. This includes orbit injection, circularization, on-orbit control, de-boost maneuver and abort.

ISRO tweeted and informed about the success of the test.

ISRO said that the hot testing lasted for 250 seconds. In this, RCS thrusters as well as LAM engines were fired in continuous mode following the test profile.

The Gaganyaan Service Module propulsion system has been designed and developed by the Liquid Propulsion Systems Center (LPSC).

ISRO did the first five hot tests, which were a total of 2,750 seconds.

First Gaganyaan mission will be launched in August

ISRO Chairman S Somnath said last month that India’s first manned space mission Gaganyaan would be launched by the end of August, while the unmanned mission would launch next year.

On the occasion of a program at the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Somnath had said that for the Gaganyaan mission, we have made a new rocket which is ready in Sriharikota. Work has begun on the integration of the Crew Module and Crew Escape System. By the end of this month, this work will be completed and all the tests will be done.

As part of the project ‘Unmanned Mission in Orbit’ will take place early next year. By early 2024, we will have an unmanned mission to orbit and bring it back safely, which will be the third mission. At present we have set these three missions.

Somnath had said, the safety of the crew members of Gaganyaan is most important. that’s what we’re trying to do

Chandrayaan-3 went up another orbit: will reach the moon’s orbit in the next three attempts, ISRO said – the spacecraft is in perfect condition

Scientists of the Indian Space Research Organization successfully completed the second orbit raising process of Chandrayaan-3 on Monday. Now the spacecraft is in 41603 Km x 226 Km orbit. This means that Chandrayaan-3 is now moving in such an elliptical orbit that the closest to Earth is 226 Km and the farthest is 41,603 Km. The health of the spacecraft is also normal. Read full news…
